Living With Christ

      Living With Christ is a retreat designed to bring parish members together in Christ and emphasizes your continued growth in Catholic Christian life.  During a retreat weekend held at the parish, you will have the opportunity to make new friendships with other members of Holy Trinity.  The retreat weekend will include some group activities and interactions, some prayer and reflections shared by members the parish team You may expect an opportunity, in a relaxed setting, to hear Christ's call to you and to respond to His call to a deeper and closer relationship with God.

      The purpose of retreats, no matter the format, is to draw closer to the heart of the Lord, to allow Christ to grow within, to intentionally open our lives to the action of the Spirit.  The outcome of a retreat is also plain: a deeper conversion to Christ so as to live with and in Christ more fully on a daily basis.  Turning to Christ in this way is natural for us humans.  It’s not so much an ideal outside of ourselves as an inner hunger and drive, an integral part of who we are at our very core.  We have, you might say, an inborn hunger for God.  You have made us for your self O God…Our hearts our restless until they rest in thee ( St. Augustine ).  A retreat is a time to allow the divine force to well up within us, to fill us with love and power, to grant us the intuition of presence.  A retreat is, in short, a pathway to conversion.
