Together We Can
Announcement letter of January 4, 2006
January 4, 2006
Dear Holy Trinity Parishioners,
As we continue to rejoice in the celebration of Christ's birth, may we also be abundantly blessed in this New Year with greater opportunities to receive, manifest and radiate His love in our parish and in the greater community. Although we are merely days into 2006, I truly believe that we are poised to embrace a marvelous opportunity that will mark one of the most significant milestones in the 126-year history and tradition of Holy Trinity Parish.
The past several months have served as a time of reflection and reevaluation for me and our parish leadership groups regarding parish development plans and how best to implement them that would effectively address the pastoral and temporal needs of Holy Trinity Parish. I wish to commend the diligence of members of the Capital Campaign Committee and Finance Council, who have deliberated carefully so that every decision has been a resolution by consensus. This is certainly a manifestation of the Holy Spirit. There was resounding agreement that initiating an effort to fund parish facilities enhancement and expansion is the foremost priority for Holy Trinity Parish.
Inspired by this renewed confidence, commitment and endorsement, I am pleased to announce the reinstatement of the Holy Trinity Capital Campaign under the banner "Together We Can" and invite your participation in this essential undertaking. Both prayer and sacrifice of the entire parish community will be needed to empower us to complete our goal of essential facilities improvements and expansion.
Like our founding parishioners who sacrificed so much to establish Holy Trinity Parish in 1880, together we can help ensure Holy Trinity is able to serve our present and future parish community. During this Campaign, we will be seeking pledges from the entire parish as well as assistance from volunteers who can help with the implementation of the Campaign.
This is a wonderful plan, but it can only be accomplished through the efforts of dedicated people, willing to step forward to further the mission of Jesus Christ. Completion of this project ensures that we will remain attentive and responsive to the needs of our parish family today, and reflects wise planning for the future. With the commitment of our entire parish family this endeavor will reach fruition, and Holy Trinity Parish will flourish for many years to come.
I look forward to sharing further details of our Campaign plans with you this weekend from the pulpit and in the weeks ahead. Click here to see the architect's sketches. Our brochure detailing the remaining memorials can be accessed by clicking here.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Reverend Thomas H. Dolezal, Pastor
