"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." MT 28:19-20
We welcome you and rejoice in the baptism of your child at Holy Trinity Catholic Church! Baptism is a precious gift given to us by God through the church. It is natural that parents would wish to pass this gift on to their children as soon as possible! At Holy Trinity, our requirements for infant baptism are as follows:
1. Family is registered as members of Holy Trinity Parish. Registration is held each Sunday in the lobby of the church after the 9:30 am Mass. Look for the New Parishioner table. You may also register in the parish office during the week. (If you are registered at another parish, permission from your parish is necessary to celebrate the baptism at Holy Trinity.)
2. If you are a new parent or it has been five years since you’ve attended a baptism class, you will need to participate in our preparation process.
If the two steps above are completed, the next steps to take towards Baptism are the following:
1. Choose Godparents. See our Godparent Selection FAQ!
2. Contact the parish office at 888-2770 to schedule the baptism! Baptisms are typically celebrated each Sunday after the 11:30 am Mass. We limit the number to 5 children each week. Baptisms are scheduled after the completion of the baptism process. We request you contact us after you have selected your child’s Godparents and before you make flight arrangements for traveling family members.
Note: For baptism of older children, contact the Christian Formation Office at 895-0606 or 895-0607.
