Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) offers formation for adults, empowering them to proclaim God’s Word and aspects of Liturgy in ways that will deeply resonate within children. These proclamations, along with the materials in the atrium, help children to continue meditating on the truths proclaimed by the adult as the children draw closer to God by themselves.
CGS catechists receive 90+ hours of training before leading a CGS class. Catechists find their own spiritual life is fed as well as the spiritual lives of the children they serve. Volunteers willing to assist the lead Catechists are also welcome; this is a nice way to begin learning about this unique program.
