Children's Liturgy of the Word

- Children's Liturgy of the Word is an opportunity for children aged 6 and older to listen to God's word. It's offered each weekend at the Sunday 9:30 AM Mass. After a prayer of dismissal by the officiating priest the children gather with two or three adults in the Gast Social Room to hear and reflect on the day's Scripture reading. Children rejoin the assembly after the General Intercessions.
  
  There is no need to register your child; just have your child join in with the rest of the children at the 9:30AM Mass.
  
  Opportunities to Volunteer
  Adults with a love of liturgy are needed to proclaim the Scriptures and lead the children in discussion. Teams of three are scheduled for three weeks in a row approximately four times throughout the year. Cantors lead the the psalm response and gospel acclamations in song.
  
  Training
  One training session, plus VIRTUS training is required for adults working with children. Resource materials are available.
