The Roman Catholic sacrament of Penance
Catholics celebrate their faith through all of the sacraments. Among the seven sacraments, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, or the Sacrament of Penance, is an important key to the Catholic way of life. Vatican II helped Catholics to see this sacrament in a new way, opening our lives to the loving forgiveness of the Savior.
Adults who are interested in learning about Reconciliation and the Catholic Church should see our pages outlining RCIA.
First Reconciliation for Children usually occurs for a child in second grade before they make their First Communion.
