Catechesis of the Good Shepherd exists because of the the time and talent of the volunteers who fall in love with the Good Shepherd and want children to know this love too! Adults that enroll in CGS formation are amazed at the way their own faith is nourished and strengthened. CGS catechists receive 90+ hours of training before leading a CGS class. These catechists find their own spiritual life is fed along with the spiritual lives of the children they serve.
Catechists and assistants are needed for all age levels. Parents who assist can see indirectly what their child experiences during an atrium session. Parents say it is an wonderful experience, and children love to have their parents with them in the atrium.
